About the XF Initiative

The goal of the Xeno-Free Stem Cell toolkit is to create an open resource for scientists to develop and adopt research approaches that are free of animal-derived reagents and media. The online toolkit will serve as a central hub and repository for xeno-free stem cell research protocols for applications in basic research, clinical studies and toxicology testing. The overarching aim is to address the most challenging scientific and therapeutic questions with the most ethically and physiologically grounded approaches.
